No Matter What Business You're in, You're In the People Business.

This podcast is on a solution to a widespread everyday workplace challenge. And that's getting the working dynamics; some people call it culture. I'm calling it dynamics, all into alignment.

A fundamental part of making these dynamics results-driven is the level of respect the management and executive team has within your organization for each other.

What is respect? The dictionary says that respect id to regard to feel and display deferential regard for that person.  To have a high level of esteem or value for that person.

What's interesting to me is that, by definition, respect doesn't involve liking someone. Hmm? Like is not contained. In the definition of respect, you don't have to like somebody to respect somebody, and anybody that's worked with me in the past and has heard me say that when we're working with difficult people, you got to find a way to find the inner value of that, individual and find ways within yourself to be able to respect this person, but don't have to like him.

We won't don't run roughshod over them. We feel regard for that person, meaning we are capable of experiencing what they're feeling, whether or not we agree with their conclusions or even their actions.

Want to Align Your Company?

If we value that person, meaning we acknowledge their worth, their contribution, their value as a person, and the worth of their contributions to the organization. And we can have respect for that person. And respect is a key component of workplace alignment and company dynamics, especially with the top executives.

Listen and learn more about displaying and EARNing respect and the value it brings your company and team.
